Roger Spy is a multimedia artist, fashion film and music video director and musician.
He has produced and directed music videos for Christopher Guard, Nate James, Argy, Jack Eye Jones, Daddy Freddy and legendary producer Wizard (Rolling Stones, MIA, Brittney Spears, Chemical Brothers), whilst creating online promos for Boy George, Ute Lemper and John Foxx.
Roger has been involved in the fashion industry since 2010, having produced fashion films for Cara Delevingne, Tyson Beckford, Luke Worrall, Valerie Van der Graaf and Nicholas Hoult, which has led to him being commissioned by and having his work featured in publications such as Vogue, Elle, i-D, SHOWstudio, V Magazine, Flaunt, DJ Mag, Clash, Vision China, Wonderland, LUXURE, BULLETT, The Mirror and 7TH Man, amongst others.
The self taught maverick has also extended his talents to directing fashion shows, such as Show Positivo 2014 in Spain and also designing artwork for albums and singles. Roger Spy is involved in his projects from pre to post production. Known not only for his meticulous editing, which is executed solely by himself, but also for his capability of turning a low key production into a high end finished result, whilst creating visuals and special effects.
In 2009, Spy took part in a group exhibition alongside Nick Rhodes, Gary Numan, Alex Proyas and Ian Emes, followed by a presentation of his first short film at the Apple Store in Regent Street, as part of Soho Shorts followed by an art/video installation at Sketch in Mayfair in 2011.
Recently, Roger created the video stage design for the 2015 Melt! Festival in Germany, headlined by Kylie Minogue, Giorgio Moroder and La Roux.
As a DJ Roger has held residencies and played at The Arts Club, Belvedere, EGG, Raffles, Sketch, Beach Blanket Babylon, Heaven and has played for a variety of industry and corporate events such as wrap parties for Woody Allen and Al Pacino’s birthday. Roger DJed at the LushFest for Lush Cosmetics in 2012 for an audience of five thousand people.
